Namacpacan edges Abordaje by 2 pins to take inaugural BEAST title

Villarosa settles for 2nd runner-up

Pablo Namacpacan was declared champion after defeating eventual first runner-up Neel Abordaje by 2 pin falls during the final games of BEAST Season One Tenpin Bowling Tournament 2023 organized by Bacolod Monday Bowlers Club (BMBC) at Lopue’s East Bowling Center in Villamonte which ended last Monday, June 19. Champion tenpinner Namacpacan had an average of 202.7 pfs, while Abordaje made 202.6 pfs and second runner-up Joemil Villarosa with 202.2 pins.

The inaugural season of BEAST tourney was participated by 52 bowlers which started on May 3, 2023 with a minimum of 30 games to be played for a bowler to be qualified to the next round. Format of the games were a combination of singles, doubles, trios, and no tap 9 events in the entire season. The Ladies Circle of BMBC including former U.S. California-based couple John & Anne Reinhart joined the finals.

635 Bar Carwash owners Jojo & Desiree Cepeda provided additional prizes of P 3,000 per game if a player hit a strike on frames three, five, and six. The Cepeda’s 635 identity is into Bar (drinking place), Carwash, and Car Exchange business. Three players – Dr. Larnie Vencer, Dwight Somcio, Lito Masculino – were able to hit the strikes needed to get the cash prize.

The officers of BMBC announced that season two of BEAST Games will start on July 2023.* (JGT)
