18th National Organic Agriculture Congress Opens in Bacolod

Negros Occidental Gov. Bong Lacson welcomed guests and participants during the opening of the two-day 18th National Organic Agriculture Congress held Tuesday at the SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City.
The governor reaffirmed the Provincial Government’s full support for the event and commended the Department of Agriculture (DA), the National Organic Agriculture Board, and the local organizers who worked tirelessly to bring the Congress to fruition.
He also expressed his gratitude to DA, led by Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr., for swiftly extending assistance to the province especially in the aftermath of Typhoon Tino, which has severely affected several agricultural communities.
“May the coming days be marked by productive exchanges, shared learning, new partnerships, and renewed commitment,” he said.* (Capitol PIO)
