39th Negros Trade Fair opens at SMX Aura in Taguig

The 39th Negros Trade Fair officially opened Tuesday morning, Sept. 23 at SMX Convention Center at SM Aura Premier, in Taguig City.
Leading the opening and blessing of booths were Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose “Bong” Lacson, Vice Gov. Jose Benito “Joeben” Alonso, Sangguniang Panlalawigan members, NTF chairperson Mary Ann Colmenares, and Association of Negros Producers (ANP) president Cristina Gaston.
More than a hundred exhibitors composed of local government units, entrepreneurs, artists and other Negrense producers are joining the trade fair until September 28, with the theme: “Himbon” which aims to gather together not only Negrenses but Filipinos in general.
Gov. Lacson, in an interview with newsmen after the opening rites said this is the first time the NTF is being held at SM. He expressed hope that sales this year will be higher than previous years’, as he thanked the SM management for helping promote the 6-day fair.
Last year’s NTF sales reached P59.4 million.*
