Moises Padilla bares Mural Painting Contest winners

The winners of the town’s inaugural Mural Painting Contest were announced and awarded at the municipal stockyard on Friday, September 19.
The competition, a key event of Moises Padilla’s Tourism Week, showcased the creative talent of nine competing groups under the theme “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation” and the sub-theme “Paghanduraw sa Nagligad, Pagsid-ing sa Palaabuton.” The contest ran from September 15-19.
Judges and Champions
A panel of distinguished judges evaluated the murals based on artistic merit and theme interpretation.
The judges were Maria Yoko Perolino, a self-taught watercolor artist and former member of the Dubai-based Art Venture; Kingsley Gayorgor, a staff member in the office of 5th District Congressman Dino Yulo specializing in tourism, arts, and heritage; and Architect Armando Guevarra, who served as the chairman of the board representing the sponsor, Davies Paint Philippines, Inc.
In the School Category, students from Guinpana-an National High School – Odiong Extension took the top prize.
• First Place: Hanz Timbad and Venz Juanites (GNHS-Odiong Extension)
• Second Place: Samantha Macabane and Aira Kristine Maculata (Jose Pepito Montilla Garcia Sr. National High School)
• Third Place: Gel Ann Trisbe, Ayumi Joy Teope, Ma. Shaira Sotto, Dizlion Presidente, and Christian Wayne Gavito (San Isidro Academy)
Other school participants included representatives from Moises Padilla Elementary School (Althea Mathell Nanzon, Zachary Joule Tirado, Loreane Laurice Leaño, Mackenzie Kenneth Ukwusike, and Ellea Mariz Larosa) and another team from Jose Pepito Montilla Garcia Sr. National High School (Harold Nietes and Nuvy Nepomuceno).
The Open Category saw Barangay 5 claim the first-place prize.

> Second Place: Christian Solurin (Handum Organization)
> Third Place: Mamer Salvan, Mae Claire Abadilla, Angel Soto, and Elmer Dapat (Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo)
The successful launch of the Mural Painting Contest, a testament to the town’s vibrant arts scene, reflects the administration’s commitment to promoting culture and community engagement under the leadership of Mayor Ella Celestina Garcia-Yulo and Vice Mayor Felix Mathias Segundo “Pimpoy” Yulo.* (Condrado D.
