Local Red Cross’ quick response to medical, rescue & other emergencies lauded

The Philippine Red Cross Negros Occidental–Bacolod City chapter is another reliable emergency responder that can easily be reached.

Its quick response to calls for medical, rescue and other emergencies is truly a lifesaver.

On September 5, 2025, the Philippine Red Cross Negros Occidental–Bacolod City Chapter Ambulance Team responded to another emergency, involving a 13-year-old female student at Luisa Medel National High School in Brgy. Tangub, Bacolod who suffered a fall resulting in right hip pain.

The well-trained Red Cross team assessed the student on-site, and stabilized her hip with triangular bandage while vital signs were being monitored. The team then safely transported her to the Bacolod Adventist Medical Center for further evaluation and management.
