DOLE-NIR IRD Buenafe Meets Gov. Lacson

Department of Labor and Employment – Negros Island Region Interim Regional Director (DOLE-NIR) Atty. Roy Buenafe called on Gov. Bong Lacson at the Governor’s Office, August 7.

IRD Buenafe was accompanied by DOLE-Negros Occidental Field Office head Carmela Abellar and Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Negros Occidental Manager Karen Dinsay and staff, together with Sagay and Cadiz PESO manager and coordinator.

RD Buenafe updated Gov. Lacson on the current set-up and status of DOLE-NIR and assured him of his future support to the province when DOLE becomes operational.

Gov. Lacson shared to RD Buenafe the best practices and scholarship programs of Negros Occidental in partnership with Dualtech Training Center in Laguna and CITE Technical Institute in Cebu that assure scholars of employment after graduation.* (Capitol PIO / Abanse Negrense text & photos)
