Moises Padilla Vice Mayor Pimpoy Yulo Holds CSO Conference
Moises Padilla Vice Mayor Pimpoy Yulo spearheaded the Civil Society Conference at the municipal auditorium.
More than 80 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) attended the conference.
With the Vice Mayor were Sangguniang Bayan members Dowen Michael Ogatis, Sally Alconera, and the SB staff.
Yulo also invited the officers of associations, organizations, and NGOs to be present during the accreditation proper that will be held on August 9 to 31, 2025.
He offered transportation and notarization assistance for those processing their accreditation.
On his part, Department of Interior and Local Government MLGOO Caesar Abkilan Jr. provided an explanation on the role of CSOs in participatory governance through audio-visual presentations.
He also discussed on the different Local Special Bodies where CSOs can actively participate as partners.
CSO Desk Officer Designate Michelle Jungco explained the purpose of the CSO Conference and emphasized the importance of CSO participation.
SB Secretary Maria Theresa Grajales discussed the guidelines and requirements for accreditation, which are to be submitted to the SB Office from August 6 to 18, 2025.
Following the accreditation proper, the selection of CSO representatives to the Local Special Bodies and the organization of the Local People’s Council is scheduled for the first week of September 2025.*
