Free Basic Computer Training Course Ongoing at Bacolod City Public Library
Ongoing at the Bacolod City Public Library located at Araneta-Hernaez Streets in Bacolod City is a free Basic Computer Training (BCT) course designed to empower senior citizens, out of school youths and informal sector workers who have little or no computer experience.
The free BCT program trains them to access online government portals (SSS, PhilHealth, PSA, etc), communicate with family or clients via e-mail and social media, prepare basic documents and explore income-generating opportunities such as e-commerce and online freelancing.
Now on its 24th batch, classes began on July 21, 2025 and will conclude on August 8, 2025.
The 15 trainees under the 24th batch are Sally V. Agtoto, Miriam M. Bayles, Imelda Chua, Nenita M. Diosanta, Rosela T. Escamilla, Melinda G. Go Ping, Imee V. Hilado, Lovelyn N. Libradilla, Salvador G. Malala, Jr., Rosemarie C. Padios, Lilia C. Sanoy, Rosario R. Te, Hermilo D. Geraldes, Ma. Josefa Pineda and Jasmin Beloya
BCT Program Coordinator and mentor is Remia A. Quebrar, Registered Librarian.
