FREELANCER: Check That Water Container

I would like to thank a few individuals who took the pains to be able to help us during a very recent health emergency.

The family cannot express enough gratitude to all of you who became instruments of the Almighty Father.

In my own little ways, God knows how I am going to work to be of help also to you and your family.

The struggle to get through the challenges became manageable because of your selfless efforts to lend a helping hand.

Special thanks to a friend whom I will soon reveal, for his sincere concern that triggered the overwhelming help.

The other day I was surprised to learn that our “suki” delivery crew of drinking water switched to a new bottled water brand.

The main man of the crew told us that they stopped sourcing from their previous supplier of “mineral water” because of increasing number of complaints.

The complaints, he said included water in 10-gallon containers that, when opened, had very small floating debris and even some “swimming white creatures”.

Upon hearing it, I asked them to open the seal of each container they were disembarking so we can check together if, this time their new brand source is indeed free of debris.

Using a flashlight, we found out that in at least two of the six containers there were very small bits of perhaps plastics and what looked like tiny black object floating.

The bottom of one of the containers also looked dark brown as if it was not thoroughly cleaned.

It was also then that I realized there is a need to always check the content of the water containers every time delivery arrives.

“Mineral water”, as we refer this treated water for drinking, normally undergoes several cleansing and decontamination steps before being released for consumption.

The processes may be enough, but transferring them to containers for delivery is another thing, thus the debris and other floating objects might be due to mishandling or due to insufficient cleaning of the usually blue containers.

Now, that must compel us to always have the containers thoroughly checked upon delivery before accepting these.

Perhaps the local governments can revive the previous campaign that checked the water stations for complete compliance ensuring the treated water is indeed thoroughly treated, and the containers must also be checked for the safety of the public.*
