PPP Party-list Lauds Heroic Rescue at Sea by MV Han Yi’s Pinoy Captain Tabobo

The PPP (Pwersa ng Pilipinong Pandagat) Party-list through its Representative Harold Duterte lauded the heroic rescue operation by the crew of MV Han Yi led by their Filipino ship captain Roybel Sualibios Tabobo for the distressed vessel MSC ELSA 3 in the seas off Kochi, India.

Captain Tabobo’s team rescued nine Filipino seafarers from the ill-fated ELSA 3 that was in the midst of bad weather on May 25.

Tabobo’s crew took care of the rescued seamen, supported them and made sure they were fine until they were eventually turned over and disembarked. Captain Tabobo is from Tigbauan, Iloilo.

Cong. Duterte, in a statement, said he is calling on other seafarers as well as fishermen to emulate the same in case they encounter similar incident.* (NDB)
