Bacolod gov’t acquires refrigerated van for its Agri-Fisheries Digital Platform initiative

The City of Bacolod, through its city department of Agriculture, acquired a refrigerated van for the Agri-Fisheries Digital Platform Program.

Building on the successful launch of the program last March 13 at Gaisano Grand Supermarket, the refrigerated van serves a purpose in collecting, storing, and sorting produce from Bacolod’s local farmers. The van facilitates the efficient delivery of fresh produce to Gaisano Supermarket, ensuring the quality and freshness of local goods.

The Agri-Fisheries Digital Platform Program is an initiative of the city to show support to local farmers and ensure an affordable, healthy, and fresh food options for the public with the support of Mayor Albee Benitez and Agro-Digital PH.

Additionally, the program utilizes an online digital system that connects the local farmers with Agro-Digital PH to ensure a steady supply of commodities and update production, price, and logistics.

Through this program, Bacolod reinforces its dedication to fostering livelihood opportunities for farmers, food security, and offering accessible and nutritious food for the community.
