Negros Power Rate Lower by Php0.6711/kWh
The average cost for residential customers is now Php11.4766 per kWh for Negros Power consumers.
This marks a significant drop of Php 0.6711 from last month’s rate of Php 12.1477 per kWh, making it a brighter month for our customers, a statement from Negros Power said.
Key Changes:
1. Lower Generation Costs:
• GCGI is rolling out a Temporary Baseload Discount of Php 0.15 per kWh for the entirety of 2025.
• The PCPC EPSA Rate has also taken a step down, falling from Php 6.1635 to Php 6.1368, a decrease of Php 0.0267.
• Meanwhile, prices in the WESM market have dropped significantly from Php 4.0525 to Php 3.5383, giving us a hearty reduction of Php 0.5142.
2. Transmission Charges Take a Dive:
• The average transmission charge has seen a refreshing decrease, thanks to lower ancillary service costs. It’s now down from Php 1,000.7771 to Php 726.9680—a noteworthy drop of Php 273.8091.
3. Electricity Losses:
• Our feeder loss is now at 8.27%, a decrease of 1.61% from last month’s figure of 9.88%.
• When we tally it all up, our total system loss stands at 11.51%.
4. System Loss Charges:
• These charges have also lightened up, with a decrease of Php 0.0539 per kWh, thanks to the lower generation and transmission costs helping us out.
5. FIT-ALL Rate Adjustment:
• On the flip side, we’ve adjusted the FIT-ALL rate from Php 0.0838 to Php 0.1189, reflecting an increase of Php 0.0351 per kWh, as per ERC Resolution (Case No. 2023-096 RC, dated Feb. 19, 2025).
March 2025 Average Rates:
• Residential (RES): Php 11.4766/kWh
• Low Voltage (LV): Php 11.5931/kWh
• High Voltage (HV): Php 10.4899/kWh.*
