Negros Power joins Bureau of Fire Protection’s Coastal Clean-Up in Bacolod

March 13, 2025

Negros Power actively participated in the coastal clean-up organized by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Purok Punta Balhas, Barangay Pahanocoy, Bacolod City.

The event, which gathered nearly 300 participants from various organizations, carried the theme “Sa pag-iwas sa sunog, hindi ka nag-iisa” (In preventing fires, you are not alone). The initiative emphasized how maintaining a clean environment can help avoid fire hazards.

This marks the third activity that Negros Power has joined in collaboration with the BFP, following the Red Zone Awareness Program in Barangay Banago and a tree-planting initiative in Barangay Felisa.

City Fire Marshal FSupt. Jenny Mae C. Masip expressed her gratitude for Negros Power’s continued support, “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Negros Power for their proactive support of our initiatives. This coastal cleanup is a vital step toward preventing potential fires while keeping our community clean.”
Negros Power remains committed to engaging in activities that promote environmental sustainability and community welfare.

“At Negros Power, our mission goes beyond just providing electricity—we are equally dedicated to preserving our natural environment. By engaging in this coastal cleanup, we proudly give back to our community and reinforce our commitment to Mother Nature,” said Engr. Leomel H. Tambanillo, Assistant Vice President for Business and Operations.

Negros Power continues to uphold its corporate social responsibility by actively supporting programs that contribute to a safer and cleaner community.* (NEPC)
