Turn-over Ceremony and Installation of New CENRO of DENR CENRO-Cadiz City Held
CADIZ CITY – A ceremonial Turn-Over and Installation event was held at the DENR CENRO-Cadiz City office, marking the formal transition of leadership within the local environmental governance framework. This significant occasion was attended by key DENR officials, local government representatives, and stakeholders committed to the environmental stewardship.
CENRO Cadiz CDS Chief Remia Buaron opened the ceremony by welcoming all attendees, setting the tone for a day of reflection on past achievements and the promise of continued progress.
The highlight of the event was the symbolic handover of key documents from the Outgoing CENR Officer Mamad T. Gandarosa Jr. to the Incoming CENR Officer Rene Abordo. This act, representing the transfer of responsibility, was accompanied by heartfelt messages from both officers.
Outgoing CENR Officer Mamad T. Gandarosa Jr. expressed gratitude for the support he received during his tenure, acknowledging the collective efforts that led to various environmental successes in CENRO Cadiz. He conveyed confidence in his successor’s ability to carry forward the mission of the DENR, ensuring that the momentum built over the years would not only be maintained but also enhanced.
Incoming CENR Officer Rene Abordo, who previously served at CENRO Sara, received the key of responsibility with a message that underscored his dedication to advancing the environmental programs and initiatives in Cadiz City. He outlined his strategic vision for the continued protection of natural resources, emphasizing creativity and collaboration with local communities and stakeholders as a cornerstone of his approach.
Further messages of support were delivered by PENRO Joan Nathaniel Gerangaya, who reaffirmed the commitment of the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office to assist the new leadership in fulfilling its mandate. PENRO Gerangaya reiterated the DENR’s commitment to supporting the new CENRO in their endeavors, ensuring a smooth transition and continued progress in the department’s objectives.
Assistant Regional Director for Management Services Andres Untal echoed these sentiments, stressing the importance of sustained teamwork and innovative approaches to address the province’s environmental challenges.
OIC Regional Executive Director Raul Lorilla, who also serves concurrently as the OIC-Regional Director for Technical Services, stated that this leadership transition symbolizes not only a change in administration but also the continuity of the DENR’s core values and its unwavering dedication to environmental preservation and responsible natural resource management.
