Mayor Tongson calls for full support for Mongcal’s Miss Tourism Ph 2024 bid

Mayor Raymund Tongson is calling Himamaylanons and Negrenses to show their full support to Keithly Ann Mongcal who is representing Himamaylan City in the 2024 edition of Miss Tourism Philippines.

“Another Himamaylanon is bringing our humble city to the national beauty pageant stage. Himamaylan is immensely proud of Keithly Ann and her journey in the Miss Tourism Philippines 2024,” Mayor Tongson said.

The city mayor also called on Himamaylanons and Negrenses in the island and all over the country to show support to Miss Himamaylan online and during the pageant night.

Mongcal previously won as the Himaya Queen 2023.

The 23-year-old native of Brgy. To-oy sees her bid for Miss Tourism Philippines as a platform to promote the local tourism industry in Himamaylan.

“Through my advocacy—supporting local tourism, literacy, and cultural education—I aim to make a real difference,” said Mongcal.
The aspiring teacher from Himamaylan hopes to inspire more young Himamaylanons in her community.

“As a future educator, I have the ability to inspire and empower others, shaping minds and communities,” Mongcal optimiscally said.

Mongcal is among 25 candidates set to wow the Philippines in the grand coronation of Miss Tourism Philippines 2024 at La Union Convention Center on August 26 at 6 p.m.

Keithlyn also showcased the Himamaylon pride in the Swimwear and Talent Show competition on August 23 at Forest Crest Nature Hotel and Resort in Nasugbu, Batangas.
