ARTA commends Himamaylan for eBOSS implementation

The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) awarded the local government unit of Himamaylan City a Certificate of Commendation for its implementation fo the Electronic Business One-Stop Shop (eBOSS).

In a ceremony held at the city hall on June 25, 2024, the commendation was given to Himamaylan for its efforts to digitize and fast track processes for businesses in the locality.

“The speedy processing of documents assures businesses in Himamaylan the that we are doing our best in providing competent and up-to-date services,” said Mayor Raymund Tongson who received the commendation on behalf of the city government.

Tongson said the successful full implementation of eBOSS in the city would not be possible without the support of city government personnel and compliance of businesses and stakeholders.

The eBOSS program is in compliance with the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018 which Himamaylan LGU has fully automated, end-to-end, its business permitting and licensing processes for both new and renewal applications.

Tongson thanked the Office of the President, Secretary Ernesto Perez, ARTA Director General; the Department of Information and Communications Technology; ARTA regional officials and officers, and the people behind the city government for supporting the digitalization program.

Along with the awarding of the certificate, Himamaylan City was also acknowledged as the first local government unit in Negros Island Region to host the ARTA Bagong Pilipinas Town Hall Meeting.

The town hall meet was held to inform barangays in Himamaylan of ARTA’s initiatives to simplify and automate government processes, along with the authority’s regulatory reform programs and activities.*
