USLS opens state-of-the art Nursing simulation lab
The University of St. La Salle (USLS) officially opened its state-of-the-art Simulation Laboratory for the College of Nursing in a launching event held at the Benilde Building at USLS on Wednesday, June 19.
In attendance at the launching event were University administrators led by USLS President Br. Joaquin Severino Martinez FSC DMin and Chancellor Minnie Chua, along with the College of Nursing faculty led by Dean Toni-An Lachica, and other faculty, staff, and alumni partners.
The University boasts this learning laboratory as the first in Bacolod City, featuring high-fidelity simulators for the delivery room, operating room, and intensive care unit.
With this facility in place, it is expected that USLS will be able to provide innovative training, hands-on experience, and practical knowledge to its student nurses before their hospital duties.
“This Simulation Laboratory represents the culmination of years of hard work and dedication by the College of Nursing and the generous support from the administrators, alumni, faculty, staff, parents, and students,” said Dean Lachica.
The USLS College of Nursing also sees this as a significant advancement in healthcare education within Bacolod, enhancing the quality of nursing education and healthcare services in the region.*
