PGNO Sports Office Gears Up for GOV Cup National Invitational Football Championship

Football enthusiasts all over the Province of Negros Occidental will definitely be thrilled as the Provincial Sports Office prepares to open its ABANSE NEGRENSE Governor’s Cup National Invitational Football Championship on December 15, 2023 at 5PM at SM City – Bacolod. The tournament is set to run from December 16 to 22, 2023 at the Pana-ad Park and Stadium.

The championship field consists of 11 teams from Manila, Ilollo, Cebu, Negros, and Mindanao. Participating teams from Manila include Jose Rizal Samahang Football, Manila Soccer Academy, and Makati FC.

Cebu is represented by BRO National while Iloilo sends Jacal FC, Ludere Deo Football Academy, and Barotac Nuevo LGU to participate in the tournament. ABANSE NEGRENSE – One Negros FT, San Carlos City, and the Futbolitos are set to represent Negros Occidental/Oriental in the tournament, and CR7 Foodtrucks will represent the Mindanao region.

The week-long football championship is part of the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental’s ABANSE NEGRENSE Sports Programs spearheaded by Governor Eugenio Jose V. Lacson with the assistance of Provincial Sports Office Head Mr. Anthony Carlo Agustin. This tournament is also made possible through a collaboration with One Negros FT Academy.* (PSO)
