20 prov’l gov’t employees won’t be renewed in 2024
Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, provincial administrator, said today that more than 20 employees of the Negros Occidental provincial government will not be renewed for 2024.
“We have already received recommendations from different departments of persons for non-renewal. We are evaluating and validating and then recommend to the governor so that by January 2024 those that have been recommended for their non-renewal will not be renewed,” Diaz said.
He added that the provincial government will look for “a better replacement who could contribute more to the provincial government in attaining its goals and objectives.”
“Everything is based on performance,” he added.
He said that some job order (JO) and contract of service (COS) employees have been recommended for casual status while some JOs have been elevated to COS.
“We also have employees who have performed well, have been recommended for upgrading. While there are rewards, there are also correctional steps,” Diaz said.* (EYA)
