Governor meets former President but ‘no politics discussed’

Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson confirmed that he met with the former president and current Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo last Friday.

“I was invited to have dinner with PGMA and The First Gentleman last Friday in honor of their guest Rose Lacson,” Lacson said.

Pressed if the mid-term elections in 2025 was discussed, the governor said “no politics in the dinner table.”

GMA ‘s name as a potential candidate for governor of Negros Occidental has long been floated by some sectors in the province, but no actual political movement has been monitored.* (EYAdiong)
