‘No private armed groups in province’ – PNP
There are no private armed groups in the province, P/Col. Leo Pamittan, provincial police director of Negros Occidental, declared.
Pamittan assured candidates and voters in the synchronized Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections that they have enough forces to secure the polls.
While they are closely monitoring some potential private armed groups, Pamittan said they have been inactive, and even due for delisting.
The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office supervises more than 1,400 police personnel assigned in various city and municipal police stations, as well in mobile force companies.* (EYA)
