COMELEC official to BSKE aspirants: Don’t wait for deadline, file CoC early

Don’t wait for the deadline. File your certificates of candidacy early for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections.

This is the advice of Atty. Ian Lee Ananoria, COMELEC Provincial Election Supervisor, to BSKE aspirants, adding that aspirants should consult a lawyer or visit the nearest Comelec office before filling up the COC to prevent problems.

Ananoria also said that they expect the arrival of accountable forms, ballots and paraphernalia that will be used for the election, on the first week of September.

He added that 45 days before the election there should be no implementation of projects and disbursement of government funds unless there is an exemption.

The exemption, however, will end on October 19.
