1st Ben Lo Memorial Cup starts today

The 1st Ben Lo Memorial Cup kicks off today at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School (BTTHS) Po Hang Gym with 7 participating teams joining the inaugural basketball competition.

The participating teams are Chiang Kai Shek College, Sacred Heart School-Ateneo De Cebu, BTTHS, St. John’s Institute, Trinity Christian School, STI West Negros University, and University of St. La Salle.

The tournament is in honor of the late Sports Patron Mr. Benjamin Lo. He is a member of the BTTHS Board of Trustees and a former BTTHS Alumni president. Mr. Lo is a well respected, self made businessman and believes that sports promote positive character development. He was the former sports development chairman of the BTTHS and established the BTTHS Sports Development Trust Fund, moreover he also initiated the construction of the BTTHS Covered Court.

The tournament is participated by 17 and under or players born 2006 and later. Games are played at BTTHS Po Hang Gym and the Luis T. Ong Sports Pavillon (SJI Ayala Gym) from June 7 to 11, 2023.* (CMG)
