Former OFWs rule divisional categories in 3rd Bacolod Open Tenpin Cup

Tenpin enthusiasts from Senior Citizens, Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), Professionals, Businessmen, Students, and Newbies joined the 3rd Bacolod Open Tenpin Cup 2023 organized by Bacolod Monday Bowlers Club (BMBC) held at Lopue’s East Bowling Center in Bacolod City on April 22.

An innovation on the mechanics was launched with 3-division categories namely: Seniors, 49&Below, and Green Horns. All Divisional Champions were bagged by former OFWS – Arnold Jesena (Seniors) of Jesenas Goto Classic whose average was 210 pinfalls, Alfred Valencia (49&below) got a 229-pinfall avg, Melai Valencia (Green Horns) with 192 avg pfs.

Other winners for the Senior Division were First Runner-up Neel Abordaje (205 avg pfs) and Second Runner-up D’Bowleros of Panay Jason Coo (204 avg pfs). For the 49&below, the First Runner-up went to Mae Memoracion (212 avg pfs) and Second Runner-up to multi-awarded Sugarbowl Tenpin Association, Inc. (STAI) youth Kyle Uy (205 avg pfs). Green Horns runner-ups were Lotis Contaoi (190 avg pfs) and Gina Lou Buyco (171 avg pfs).

In the Minor events, Perfect game on No Tap 9 was secured by Jesena; while Highest Single were won by Ladies – Minnie Chua (233 pfs), Seniors – Eric Buyco (249 pfs), STAI Juniors – Micco Necesario (187 pfs), Green Horns – Contaoi (225 pfs), STAI Youth – Lance Tan (234 pfs), and 49&Below Pato Fadollone (258 pfs).* (JGT with reports from BMBC)
