Reps. Yulo, Ang pledge support to La Castellana hospital’s construction

Representatives Dino Yulo (5th District, Negros Occidental) and Jojo Ang (Uswag-Ilonggo Partylist) vowed to help in the construction of the La Castellana Municipal Hospital in Barangay Robles.

Congressmen Yulo and Ang pledged P5 million each for additional funds for the flagship project of Mayor Alme Rhummyla Nicor-Mangilimutan.

Yulo and Ang, with Department of Health Regional Director Adriano Suba-an and Negros Occidental Prov’l Board Member Anton Occeño, graced the groundbreaking ceremonies of the construction of the hospital Saturday (April 1) at the property donated by the Jalandoni family at Hda. Grande in Brgy. Robles.

Mayor Nicor-Mangilimutan said the hospital will address the medical needs and emergency cases not only of her constituents but also of residents in adjacent localities.

At present, she said, emergency case patients have to travel for more than an hour to get treatment in government and private hospitals in Bacolod.

The mayor told reporters that the local government has allocated P30 million for the construction of the hospital which is part of the P300 millon loan package recently availed by her administration.

The loan also covers for the establishment of the town’s sanitary land fill and the acquisition of equipment and vehicles for the different barangays needed in times of disasters and emergencies.

On his part, DOH 6 Director Suba-an said that the DOH will provide technical support to the hospital.* (APT via Dolly Yasa)
