Negros Occ stages national arts month finale in Silay

“Ani ng Sining, Bunga ng Galing” staged its National Arts Month Finale at the Silay Public Plaza covered court yesterday afternoon, March 31, with performers coming from all over the country, together with various Negrense arts and culture groups showcasing the country’s rich and diverse culture.

Several shows were also held earlier in cities of Bago, Kabankalan, Himamaylan and Cadiz, as this event is a long running program of the National Commision on Culture and the Arts through its National Commitee on Dance in celebration of the National Arts Month.

NCCA Chairman Ino Manalo, NCCA Deputy Executive Director Marichu Tellano and Arts Month Festival Director Shirley Halili-Cruz were present during the closing program.* (Andrew Altarejos text & photography)
