Area 1 clinches 2023 DepEd Cluster Meet Football/Futsal events in San Carlos

It turned out as another amazing competition for the football/futsal community as the DepEd Cluster Meet ended in a thrilling and spectacular fashion on March 25-26, at the SJRI Standard Football Pitch in San Carlos City.

Area 1, represented by San Carlos City, clinched the top spots all 3 categories.

Area 1 dominated and ended Day 1, immediately grabbing 2 victories in a best of 3 game series and hailed as Champions for the following categories – Football Boys Elementary and Futsal Ladies Secondary.

While the Football Boys Secondary between Area 1 (San Carlos City) and Area 2 (Cadiz City) gave the spectators a match to be remembered as one of the best 3 game series everyone has witnessed, all 3 games were so close and competitive, the gaming atmosphere was filled with fun, excitement and nerve racking performances by both sides.

However, after the exhaustion of ideas, skill and will, Area 1 was able to secure the Championship with a 2-0 victory to end the series over their competitors.

All winners will now represent the area in the upcoming Provincial Meet on March 30, 2023.
