Mambukal Resort ready for holy week, summer visitors

Mambukal Resort and Wildlife Sanctuary in Brgy. Minoyan, Murcia is now ready for the expected influx of tourists during this Holy Week and the entire summer season.

Atty. Rayfrando Diaz II, provincial administrator, said while tourist arrivals have not yet reached the pre-pandemic levels, “tourists are already coming.”

Because the resort is also a wildlife sanctuary, the number of visitors is regulated, he added.

Visitors are limited to just 500 per day and cooking and karaoke singing are not allowed.

Diaz said tourists can already enjoy the food served at the food court at the new building built from funding of the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA).

“The food being prepared daily (turo-turo) is now ready, and affordable. Tourists would no longer need to bring their food as the food court is ready,” he said.

Diaz also said that the latest report of the Economic Enterprise Development Department, about two weeks ago, showed a good performance for Mambukal.* (EYA)
