NegOcc, San Carlos hold FoF Prov’l Qualifying 2023
The Province of Negros Occidental, together with the Provincial Sports Office are pleased to invite avid Negrense sports enthusiasts for the Festival of Football Provincial Qualifying 2023 over the weekend (today, February 25 and tomorrow 26, 2023) in San Carlos City.
The City of San Carlos and the San Carlos City Negros Football Club (SCCNFC) are the host LGU and Football Club of the event.
Selection teams from South Negros, Central Negros, and North Negros, as well as the San Carlos City Negros Football Club are among the participating teams who will compete in the tournament.
Boys born in 2008-2009 and 2010-2011 and Girls born in 2007-2008 and 2009-2010 are qualified to join the competition.
This tournament aims to establish a Champion Team by selecting potential players within the participating clubs. The Champion Team will then represent the Negros Occidental Football Association (NOFA) in the Regional Football Festival in Iloilo.
The Festival of Football Provincial Qualifying 2023 is in collaboration with the ABANSE NEGRENSE Grassroots Sports Development Programs, along with the Philippine Football Federation (PFF), Japan Football Association (JFA), and the Negros Occidental Football Association (NOFA). It is also made possible through the continuous efforts and valuable support of Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose V. Lacson, Provincial Sports Office Head Mr. Anthony Carlo Agustin, NOFA President Mr. Ricardo V. Yanson Jr., and SCCNFC officials headed by Board Member Pocholo Yuvienco, Miggy Valmayor, Marty Cui, and Tata Parel.
The 2-day football festival is organized by the grassroots development officers – Mr. Johnson Miran from Central Negros for the boys category, and Coach Jae Marie Abuan of the SCCNFC for the girls category.* (PSO)
