GSIS Bacolod conducts info dissemination drive for LESSON members

The Government Service Insurance System in Bacolod conducted an Information Dissemination Program for the League of Secretaries to Sanggunian in Occidental Negros (LESSON) yesterday, February 24.

The forum was attended by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan/Sangguniang Panlungsod/Sangguniang Bayan Secretaries of LESSON, Inc.

GSIS Bacolod Branch Manager Cecilia C. Tenaja was the Resource Speaker, who talked on the GSIS mandate, the retirement laws and benefits, retirement options and its computations, premium contributions, Data Privacy Act, the GSIS latest digital innovation that provides ease of doing business, and on the loans currently offered, highlighting the effects of account in arrears/in-default to member’s retirement benefits, respectively.

“One of our activities early this year is to be oriented about GSIS existing policies and programs and be updated on the status of the pension fund,” Emmanuel Jabasa, LESSON, Inc. President, said.

“It is an opportunity for the secretaries to present related matters and concerns for the common benefit”, Jabasa added.

Melanie B. Balbuena, Staff Officer III and Rhandale M. Alojado of Billing, Collection and Reconciliation Division were also present in this activity.

LESSON members are now updated on the latest GSIS policies and programs for their issues, concerns and other clarifications which were addressed during the open-forum.* (Rhandale M. Alojado)
