Cadiz City, SM City Mount Colorful Photo Exhibit of Dinagsa Festival
The Dinagsa Festival in Cadiz City draws near! Like most Philippine festivals held in the month of January, the celebration is in honor of the Child Jesus or the Sto. Niño. The Dinagsa of the City of Cadiz is one such festival, a very upbeat and colorful one at that!
As part of the city’s celebration and promotion, photos featuring of the best of Cadiz City’s festival is on exhibit at the east bridgeway of SM City Bacolod until the festival highlights at the end of the month.
Mounted by the City of Cadiz through its tourism office, the photos exhibit showcases the warm, friendly and colorful Cadiznon personality, the street dancing competition, with vibrant music and celebratory drum beating. Of course, the festival’s “lamhitanay” or paint smudging is a tradition at the Dinagsa, and a fun street activity where everyone openly splashes and smudges paint on each other. It’s one of the fun reasons to experience the festival! The SM photo exhibit shows how fun it is in Cadiz City, and an invitation for all to experience the festival in person.
