Tracey Carlyn Tan

Tracey Carlyn Tan of the Sugar Bowl TenPin Assn Inc. (STAI) of Bacolod City is the Girls Major Division (16-18 years old) Champion of the 2022 Philippine Bowling Federation Annuals Championship held last December 26, 2022 at the E-Lanes Bowling Center, Ortigas Avenue, San Juan.

Tracey tallied a total 1602 pinfalls in 8 games for an average of 200.25.

Paulene Sta. Ana of the TenPin Bowling Association of Makati (TBAM) finished second with a score of 1452, and Chelsea Santos of the Pasig Bowling Assn (PBA) scored 1423 for 3rd place.

Tan is 16 years old and a Grade 10 student of St. John’s Institute. She is the daughter of Jose Tan Jr. and Margaret Tan. She is also the niece of Stephen Tan, a Bacolod photographer-sports scribe.

Last August she also competed in the 21st MWA Asian Junior TenPin Bowling Championship in Bangkok, Thailand as a member of the Philippine Team.

Tracey dedicated her victory to her Grandma Solina who passed away last year, an avid bowler and youth supporter. In fact, there is an annual Solina Tan Cup held every October at the Lopue’s East Bowling Center.* (Cyrus M. Garde)

Tan is with the rest of the winners – Paulene Sta. Ana of TBAM and Chelsea Santos Pasig BA.*
