USLS footballers survive Bantug bootfest

The Born 2014 of University of St. La Salle

The Born 2014 of University of St. La Salle with a 4-0-1 standing settled for the 1st Runner Up spot in the 1st Bantug Lake Ranch Football Cup last December 17, 2022 at La Provincia Field in Granada, Bacolod City.

Golden FC, Magallon FC, GPV San Carlos and Pontevedra FC were the teams they beat to take number 1 spot with 17 total goals scored but conceded 3 goals during the finals. It is composed of Derrick Guyala, Liam Cusi, Anya Delgado, Keane Agoncillo and Jacobo Lorilla.

The Born 2016 also landed as 1st Runner Up with Vito Benedicto, Xanti Aguilar, Pocholo Lorilla, Tyler Jacob Alingasa, Shawn Treyes, wherein Born 2015 landed the 2nd Runner Up trophy with Hilary Ortega, Enrique Escario, Gian Escario, Christian Puentevella, and Sofia Ernestine Guevarra.

Meanwhile, the Girls Born 2006 of St. Scholastica Academy Bacolod grabbed the Championship title after a scoreless final match against Trinity Christian School leading to a penalty shootout.

Danicka Moleje and Ushin Valencia both found the back of the net, while Nicole Tan made a lone keeper save, and was later awarded as the Most Valuable Player, to end with a 2-1 final score. Together with Daniella Dumancas, Renee Gavriel Animathea Lomugdang, Mariella Benedicto, Louise Sproten, Sai Aluamento, Martina Gurrea, Bianca Tio mentored by Coach Norberto Lanasa.* (RPR)
