There is something about the power of music which brings forth a lot of people. It creates bridges instead of walls and this does make sense when you use music as a medium to channel your inner voice and work with others who do the same.

Bacolod City’s music scene is continuously on the rise. It gets artists and musicians from different places to empower each other through artistic events being held like the “Singer’s-Songwriter’s Night” going mainstream at the Grey Room Art Space and Café at Art District, Mandalagan.

Its continuous support in the local music industry has got musicians like Isko Alles, Guen Decena, Ram Martinez, and Martin Miravalles to take the lead to let other musically inclined talents come forward.

Early this month, the holidays kicked off on the said location with a dose of sentimentality, originality, and rawness as musicians come together to express their energies through their original songs.

It activates a stronger connection to let others know that music is definitely open and calling out to everyone. These musicians provoke a peaceful musical revolution to send in authentic messages of self-expression, advocacies, political expressions, and other musical uniqueness.

Martin Miravalles, front man for Mighty Hillamoon, and a Masskara Music Festival Lifetime Achievement awardee, expressed his full support for events like this to call out to musicians to spread the magic of music.

“Music is a platform to express ourselves especially if we cannot express it in normal and ordinary ways,” Miravalles said.

It surely has no bounds on what to be and how to become. It just lets you flow from your core as a real human being.

Mighty Hillamoon recently released its live single called “Agnas” last December 17 at Blockyard BCD Café.
