GSIS Bacolod holds year-end conference

The 2022 year-end conference of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) Bacolod Branch for its Agency Authorized Officers (AAO’s), Electronic Remittance Files Handlers’ (ERF Handlers), and Liaison Officers was held December 9 at the Sugarland Hotel.

The activity was participated by the AAO’s, ERF Handlers and Liaison Officers of the goverment agencies in Negros Occidental.

In behalf of Branch Manager Cecilia C. Tenaja, Engr. Miles Andres C. Canastillo, Division Chief of Frontline Services Division delivered the welcome message.

“Every agency has GSIS representatives to make sure that all programs, applications, records, remittances, and reports are taken cared of,” Canastllo added.

Highlighted activities included the GSIS presentation on the functions, duties and responsibilities of AAO’s, ERF Handlers and Liaison Officers by Melanie Bais-Balbuena, Staff Officer III of Billing and Collection Unit (BCU).

Balbuena re-emphasized the role and functions of AAO’s as the loan approvers and the GSIS’ partners in timely submission of member information, while the ERF Handlers are responsible for the timely and correct deduction of GSIS monthly contribution and loans.

Participants were also reminded to upload their agency ERF before the end of every due month, and uploading of ARA’s at least a week before the end of the month or as needed.

She also urged them to take prompt action on loan applications, 100 percent deduction on loans and settlement of on-default loans, loan threshold of 90 percent, always open the AAO Certification and always follow the billing format in preparing the ERF.

The BIDA ng Ahensya Awarding ceremony of the government agencies with the Highest Collection Efficiency on both Premiums and Loans for CY 2022 for Category GOCC’s, NGAs, LGU’s, SUC’s and DepEd, Best Performing Agency Authorized Officers, ERF Handlers and Liaison Officers, respectively.

The interactive games and showcasing of talents through intermission numbers from the talented AAO’s of the City Government of Kabankalan Jane T. Bontigao and Marlon Ynchaute, Arnel Gilongo, ERF Handler and Kristine Gayoso, Liaison Officer of CGO Bago and the GSIS Bacolod King of Songs, Mr. John Ryan Englis also entertain participants.

Leilani B. Mangabat, Division Chief of Billing, Collection and Reconciliation Division gave her closing remarks and grateful for the valuable presence of participants.
