All Saints’ Day 2022 at Sum-ag Catholic Cemetery in Bacolod City
The decades-old Balete tree or “Lunok” stands tall as if welcoming visitors to the Sum-ag Catholic Cemetery in this city. This has become a landmark where visitors and even tourists like to have a selfie or souvenir photo. It is a strangler fig from the family of Ficus tree that grows beside other trees which later on strangle them until they kill the tree host.* (James G.
