KABANKALAN CITY DOMESTIC AIRPORT

Mayor Benjie Miranda visited over the weekend the soon-to-be Kabankalan City Domestic Airport in Barangay Hilamonan.
Miranda says he is supporting the project, which was started 15 years ago. Once the airport is completed and operational under the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), Kabankalan, with other areas in southern Negros Occidental, will be a magnet for more tourism and investment undertakings that will spur economic activities and growth, he said. The additional runway length being constructed, the Kabankalan chief executive added, will enable the airport facility located in a 100-hectare property to accommodate bigger aircraft.*
