PDEA arrests four more ‘druggies’ in Bacolod
Four people were arrested after agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Negros Occidental raided a suspected drug den at Purok Pag-asa i ln Barangay Estefania, Bacolod late Tuesday night.
Authorities identified them as 37-year-old Marlon Treyes; 32-year Junie Alisbo; 40-year-old Cherry Panes; and 36-year-old Aireen Cantiga, all residents of the place.
PDEA operative “Agent Bamboo” said both Treyes and Alisbo were previously drug surrenderees.
Bamboo even identified Alisbo as a subject of a complaint filed via PDEA’s “Isumbong Mo Kay Wilkins” hotline in the past, and the druggies they have arrested were using Treyes’ home as a drug den.
During the operation, they also caught both Panes and Cantiga in the act of sorting illegal drugs.
Police recovered a total of P102,000 worth of suspected shabu, as well as drug paraphernalia.
All four are facing charges related to Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.* (DGB)
