SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression “FLORITA” was estimated based on all available data at 330 km East of Casiguran, Aurora (16.5°N, 125.2°E) with maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h. It is moving West Southwestward at 20 km/h.

FORECAST: Western Visayas including Negros Occidental and Bacolod City will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to a trough of TD Florita / Localized Thunderstorms. Moderate to Strong coming from Northwest to Southwest will prevail over Negros Island and slight to moderate coastal water conditions with an average height of 1.2 to 3.1 m.
