REMOVAL OF ‘SPAG’ WIRES GOES ON AT DOWNTOWN BACOLOD

Technical men of the different telecommunication firms continue to remove wires or part of the so called “spaghetti wires” above Araneta and Gonzaga Streets in Bacolod City. This is in compliance with Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez’ directive to remove unnecessary wires which have become eyesores. Most of the wires are no longer utilized by telcos. The mayor is eyeing to study the possibility of installing telecom wires underground in his recent meeting with telco representatives. Benitez is thankful for the cooperation of telcos.* (James G.
