VM Ferrer to nominate 2 names to head SRA

Negros Occidental Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer will recommend two names from the province to head the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA).

Ferrer today, July 18 said two nominees are “bright and fit to lead the agency that serves the country’s sugar industry.”
The vice governor, however, did not name his nominees.

“If you are SRA head your boss is the Secretary of the Agriculture and Malacañang,” Ferrer said.

On his part, Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson has long advocated for a Negrense to head the SRA. Lacson also opted not to name anyone.* (EYA)
