3ID command awards 79IB troops

BATO, Sagay City, NegOcc – Major General Benedict M Arevalo, 3rd Infantry Division Commander awards Military Merit Medals to Masaligan Troopers in a ceremony held at the 79th Infantry (Masaligan) Battalion Headquarters, Brgy Bato, Sagay City, Negros Occidental, in the afternoon of July 08, 2022 (Friday).

Masaligan Troopers were recognized following a successful encounter against (7) Communist NPA Terrorist at Sitio Banwa Minatay, Brgy Marcelo, Calatrava, Negros Occidental last July 06 2022 which resulted in the capture of Isabelle Necesario @Maolin/Nads/Diane/Idel a Deputy Secretary of the dismantled Northern Negros Front, recovery of various war materials and subversive documents of high intelligence value.

“As your Commander, giving awards is my obligation and duty. I want to ensure that my troops will always be in the highest state of morale by giving them medals and due recognition for what they’ve worked hard for. I came here not to inspire you to do more. On the contrary, I am more inspired by you, Maj.Gen. Arevalo said.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel J-Jay T Javines warmly welcomed Maj.Gen. Arevalo in a traditional military honor, along with Brigadier General Inocencio I Pasaporte, the Commander of 303rd Infantry Brigade.*
