Vallacar Transit issues statement on Dumaguete City Terminal incident

Vallacar Transit, Inc. is deeply saddened by the accident that occurred during the morning of July 5, 2022 at Dumaguete Ceres Terminal, Calindagan, Dumaguete City. The company sympathizes with the injured and their families.
The driver has been serving the company for fifteen years and has no record of major accidents. Prior to the accident, the said driver was awarded with a “zero accident incentive”.
We would like to assure the families and the riding public that we are taking care of the injured by covering the expenses of their medical treatment. They are now in a stable condition and the injuries are non-life threatening.
The management is making sure that all their needs are taken care of.
With the initial investigation, we found out that the unit involved in the accident was not experiencing any malfunction, and we would like to assure the riding public that this was only an isolated case.
The driver is now under the custody of the Dumaguete PNP and we will conduct a thorough investigation to ensure that all issues regarding this matter will be addressed in the most expeditious manner after his release from custody.
Again, our sincerest apologies to the families of the injured and the riding public for causing undue distress.
