Four government doctors under investigation

Four doctors from the provincial government-operated hospitals are under investigation following several complaints sent to the Department of Health against them.

Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, Negros Occidental Provincial Administrator, said.

The doctors whom Diaz temporarily refused to name are facing charges for maltreatment of patients and medical malpractice. They will definitely face sanctions, he said.

They ought to render quality service as they have big salaries and a huge budget is needed to maintain a hospital.

Diaz said the administration of Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson has been consistent with upgrading the services of district hospitals across the province.

Diaz said they have implemented the One Hospital System to improve the health care system in the province, but also said that they have monitored there are hospitals rejecting patients by referring them to the Teresita L. Jalandoon District Hospital in Silay City.

“They should be responsible to the patients coming to hospitals,” he also said.* (EYA)
