12 teams advance to Next Gen Hoops 4 Youth reg’l playoffs

Eleven teams coming from Negros Occidental and a lone Iloilo selection squad advances to the 25-Under Next Gen Hoops 4 Youth regional playoffs after overcoming the acid test in the elimination round held in various venues in Bacolod City recently. It is set to be played at VMA Gym in Sum-ag, this city on Saturday, April 23.

The top finishers in the single round-robin basketball tournament are Team Underground Bacolod, Agap Builders Bacolod, UNO-R, SYS Iloilo City, Martirs Place Victorias City, Bren and Brent Escalante City, CBAC Nocturnals Team A Bacolod, Covid Survivors Bacolod, Puff Boss and Resto Talisay City, Disciples Sagay City, SBB Scorpions Silay City, and Team Kenn Talisay City.

According to Next Gen regional director Mark Belangel, the best three teams out of the 12 will see action in Cebu City on May 4, 2022. “Only the top three in the regional playoffs will be allowed to face the best of the best teams in Central Visayas.”* (JGT)
