Donasco said they recently held a coordinating conference which was attended by COMELEC-Negros Occidental Elections Supervisor Atty. Robert Salazar, and representatives from the Philippine Army, and the Department of Education (DEPED).
Representatives from the local electric cooperatives and internet service providers were also invited to present their plans to ensure that both power and internet connectivity will not be hampered during the elections.
Donasco added that NOCPPO is also finalizing their security preparations to maintain the current peaceful situation of the province.
At present, election hotspot areas in Negros Occidental remain at 18, and Donasco said NOCPPO is assuring Negrosanons that the police is working hard to prevent any incident especially in the hotspot areas.* (DGB)
