Gov. Lacson leads inauguration of P60M Hinobaan new public market
Negros Occidental Gov. Bong Lacson and municipal officials led by Mayor Ernesto Estrao, led the inauguration of the new public market of the Municipality of Hinobaan, today.
Also joining the inauguration were Sixth District Board Member Jeffrey Tubola, Hinobaan Vice Mayor Jefre Encoy and SB Members, and Provincial Engineer, Ernie Mapa, among others.
The P60 Million infrastructure was funded through the Municipal Development Fund Office, and the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental.
A short program was held after the blessing of the market structure and ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Mayor Estrao thanked Gov. Lacson for the realization of the town’s project and for the continued support to their municipality.
He said that the market was primarily designed to be an agricultural bagsakan, that will boost the local economy.
Gov. Lacson said that market administration is a challenge not only to the local officials but also to the vendors and residents of Hinobaan.
He said that a clean and orderly market makes a good impression of the town, that will lead to more local development.*
