FEATURE: The restoration of power supply in typhoon-hit Bago City

February 5, 2022

Among CENECO’s coverage areas, Bago City was one that was badly hit by Typhoon Odette last December 17, 2021.
With 166 down poles, 222 down wires, 70 leaning poles, five busted transformers and 17 broken cross-arms, the damage incurred amounted to around P5-M. CENECO’s overall damage assessment is P21-M.

Although a lot of technical works have to be done in the affected areas, Bago Field Office (BFO) has reached 100% energized households, as per January 21, 2022 Power Restoration Report; and we have our Warriors of Light to thank for their efforts in the restoration activities.

The completion of the restoration of power in Bago was also made possible through the assistance of CENECO Read-Bill-Render and Service Installation crew from Bacolod Main Office, Task Force from MORE Power Iloilo and the untiring support from the Management headed by Area Office Manager Cherish Mae A. Millevo and Bago Board of Director Robert J. Javellana.

As CENECO has re-energized all households affected by typhoon Odette, we thank our Member-Consumer-Owners for their patience and understanding throughout the entire duration of our restoration works.*
