Cop died, 2 civilians injured in tricycle vs. motorcycle collision in Isabela

A police officer died while two others were injured when a motorcycle and a tricycle collided in Barangay 5, Isabela town yesterday, Sunday.

Police identified the fatality as Patrolman Michael Cuanico, a resident of Binalbagan town in Negros Occidental.

Injured were Melmar Tubrea, a tricycle driver, and his passenger who requested not to be identified.

Based on investigation by the Isabela town police, Cuanico was driving his motorcycle and attempted to overtake a tricycle.
However, Cuanico lost control of his motorcycle and collided with Tubrea’s tricycle.

All three were rushed to the town’s district hospital, however, Cuanico was declared dead on arrival.

Cuanico is assigned under the Moises Padilla Municipal Police Station.* (DGB)
