Self-isolation for persons with symptoms

The Department of Health has reiterated that self-isolation is important to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, adding that individuals

with symptoms must assume that they have contracted the virus.

“Basta may sintomas, isolate na tayo. Kahit hindi pa natin hawak ang resulta ng test, isipin natin pwedeng COVID-19 ‘yan,” Usec Rosette Vergeire said.

“Para lang kung may trankaso tayo, hindi ba bumubukod agad tayo at nagsusuot ng mask para hindi natin mahawa ang kapamilya at kasama sa trabaho? Ganoon din ito,” she added.

The Philippines on 7 January 2021 has reported over 21,000 cases, pushing the total active cases to 77,369.
